Invictus Racing buys Captain Bertie in the Tattersalls July Sales
Tim Pitt is a young and ambitious trainer who has recently moved down from Yorkshire to join the home of racing Newmarket at Frankland Lodge.
Tim started his career working at the world famous training establishment for Peter Chapple-Hyam and Robert Sangster. From Manton Tim moved to become Gerald Butler’s assistant trainer and it is here were he thrived and felt it was time to apply for his own license.
In 2006, Tim started training for Willie McKay where he had more success than most first season trainers. He has an impressive training record and to date has produced winners in some of Britain’s most prolific races, including The Group 1 Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot, The Group 1 July Cup at Newmarket and valuable heritage handicap The Chester Cup at Chester Racecourse. This is combined with a high strike rate of horses finishing in the first four from all our lifetime runners.
